What is a Blogathon? Apparently it’s a guided mad dash of productivity designed to help bloggers of all types and experience levels learn and improve their blogs, network with each other and maybe win some prizes. This is my first time participating so we’ll see how it goes!

About me/this blog: Geek Chic Mama is less than two weeks old, but I think it’s off to a good start! Some of what I will be writing about about:

* Fun geeky events in and around San Antonio
* Life as a military wife and first-time mom

I have a 3-month old son and haven’t been in San Antonio very long. I’m hoping this blog will provide a good creative outlet and help me connect with the geek community here.

Fri., 1:40 p.m. Wrote this kick-off post!
Fri., 3:30 p.m. Acquired supplies for the first of a new project series.
Fri., 9:00 p.m. Managed to get 10 minutes to attend Blogathon twitter party; gained half a dozen new followers and found a pretty big error in a post where an edit didn’t save.

Other Friday accomplishments:

* 4 blog posts
* 10 meaningful comments left on other blogs
* Started planning posts through the end of March using sticky notes and a calendar
